    University counselling for international choices

Bespoke Learning supports IB and AP students as they research courses, compare entry expectations, build a balanced shortlist, manage application components, and make final decisions. The work is tailored to the student’s academic profile, interests, constraints, and countries under consideration.

Good counselling is not a list of famous universities or a promise of admission. It is a documented decision process: understand the course, verify current requirements at the official source, assess academic and practical fit, plan the work, and preserve the student’s voice throughout the application.

    Course-aware support

    Application support across systems

Requirements and deadlines change by institution, course, residency, and application cycle. We help students organize the process while treating official university and application-system pages as the authority.

    UK applications

Research courses and plan the academic evidence, choices, references, and current UCAS written-response format.

    • Course-level research rather than brand-only lists
    • Entry expectations and contextual requirements
    • Application calendar checked against official UCAS guidance

    US applications

Coordinate a balanced college list with testing choices, activities, recommendations, and written responses.

    • Academic, social, financial, and practical fit
    • Main and supplemental essay planning
    • Early, regular, and institution-specific deadlines

    Canada and international

Navigate institution- and programme-specific requirements across Canadian and other global destinations.

    • Direct and central application systems
    • Supplementary forms, portfolios, and documents
    • Offer comparison and next-step decisions

    What students build through counselling

    Course fit

Compare what students actually study, how courses are taught, and what progression routes they offer.

    Balanced choices

Create a portfolio of options informed by current requirements, academic profile, preferences, and constraints.

    Application control

Track prompts, documents, references, tests, portals, and deadlines without relying on memory.

    Authentic communication

Present interests and experiences accurately in the student’s own voice across written and interview tasks.

A good fit for students who…

    • are comparing universities or courses across more than one country
    • need a realistic shortlist grounded in course fit and current requirements
    • feel overwhelmed by overlapping application tasks and deadlines
    • want guidance that supports decisions without taking ownership away from the student

    2. 02

      Research and balance

Student and counsellor compare courses and requirements using current official information and build a reasoned shortlist.

    3. 03

The plan tracks each component and deadline while essays, forms, and final decisions remain accurate and student-owned.

    When should university counselling begin?+

Earlier planning creates more room for thoughtful course research and academic choices, but support can begin at any stage. The right scope depends on the student’s year group, destinations, and remaining deadlines.

Do you support applications outside one country?+

Yes. Counselling can coordinate applications across the UK, US, Canada, and other international destinations, with requirements checked for each institution and current cycle.

Can you tell me the current application deadlines?+

Deadlines vary and can change. We help build a calendar, but the student must verify every date on the current official university or application-system website before relying on it.

Will a counsellor write my essays?+

No. Counsellors can discuss purpose, ask questions, and give feedback. The student chooses the experiences, reasoning, and wording in every submitted response.

Can you guarantee admission to a target university?+

No. Admission depends on the institution and the full applicant pool. Ethical counselling improves planning and communication but cannot guarantee a decision.
